Recirculation Time During Exercise

Recirculation times measured from Cardio Green dye curves at rest and during exercise in four normal subjects and 12 patients with heart disease were inversely related to cardiac output. During gaseous techniques for estimation of cardiac output, sampling should be performed within 15 sec at rest and 10 sec during exercise, to avoid errors due to recirculation.
