Koselleck, Reinhart (1923–2006)

Abstract

Reinhart Koselleck was a German intellectual historian. He studied with Karl Löwith, Hans-Georg Gadamer, and Carl Schmitt, and then taught at the University of Bielefeld from 1968 to 1988. He made major contributions to the history of political ideas, the study of the Enlightenment, and our understanding of the modern experience of time.
