Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Interventions
Abstract
This chapter covers the most common hepatobiliary interventions encountered in interventional radiology. Image-guided biopsy of the liver is undertaken to obtain a tissue sample for pathological diagnosis of a lesion initially identified on imaging.Percutaneous cholecystostomy decompresses the gallbladder under fluoroscopic guidance and/or ultrasound guidance.
