Imaging of hard x-rays with sub-millimeter spatial resolution by means of a xenon filled MWPC

Abstract

Results are presented showing that a beam of Eu K X-rays (41.5 keV) can be imaged in a xenon filled (NTP) MWPC with submillimeter spatial resolution. In the best case (at low data rates) the predicted physical limit of 0.5 mm fwhm is observed.
