Interstitial lung disease in Canada: Past, present and future

Abstract

Over the past 30 years, our understanding of interstitial lung disease (ILD) has continued to rapidly expand, with Canada contributing to and leading much of this work. This review describes major Canadian contributions to ILD clinical care, research, and education over the past century and highlights ongoing efforts that will maintain Canada’s position as a global leader in ILD clinical care, research and education.
