Truncated two-parameter GEM distribution

GEM distribution and its two-parameter generalization are random discrete probabilities that have wide range of applications. In this paper we introduce the truncated two-parameter GEM distribution that links the GEM distribution with its two-parameter counterpart. We will investigate three aspects of the truncated model, namely the stochastic dynamics, the sampling formula, and the asymptotic behaviour of the homozygosity.
