FLOW PHENOMENA IN MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING: Basic Concepts and Technical Developments

Abstract

The application of high-resolution TOF MRA has the potential of being of primary diagnostic importance in intracranial and carotid artery imaging. Further improvements in resolution and physiologic information will be possible using contrast agents. There is no doubt that continued clinical testing and research development will make this method a viable means of performing angiography in most patients.
