This chapter provides an overview of two widely known occupational therapy practice models focused on human occupation: the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and the latest Canadian model of practice comprising three parts: the Canadian Model of Occupational Participation (CanMOP), the Collaborative Relationship-Focused Practice approach, and the Canadian Occupational Therapy Inter-relational Practice Process Framework (COTIPP). For each practice model, the origins and key concepts are described and illustrated using a practice scenario to highlight how practice models focused on human occupation guide occupational therapists’ reasoning and actions in practice.
