Wearable Aptalyzer Integrates Microneedle and Electrochemical Sensing for In Vivo Monitoring of Glucose and Lactate in Live Animals (Adv. Mater. 35/2024)

Abstract

Wearable Aptalyzer In article number 2313743 by Leyla Soleymani, Mahla Poudineh, and co‐workers, hydrogel microneedles are combined with aptamer‐based electrochemical sensors for creating the wearable aptalyzer (WA). The WA enables pain‐free monitoring of glucose and lactate in vivo and in real time for at least three days, as evaluated using two animal models. The use of aptamers allows the WA to be extended to a wide range of analytes.
