Patient Assessment and Dosing Recommendations for Cannabis

Abstract

Cannabis has been shown to be useful in the management of several medical conditions such as chronic pain, specific seizure disorders, and spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis. As we gain more experience and evidence with cannabis therapy, the indications and uses of cannabis will increase. With this comes the need to ensure appropriate care for patients on cannabis, which also includes appropriate dosing. This chapter provides the clinician an overview of the current recommendations and best practices for dosing of cannabis and managing patient symptoms.
