A synthesis of sulfonamide analogs of platensimycin employing a palladium-mediated carbonylation strategy
Abstract
The monodentate ligand 1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-2,4,8-trioxa-6-phenyl-6-phospha-adamantane (PA-Ph) is shown to be highly effective in palladium-catalyzed carbonylative cross-coupling. Aryl and vinyl halides were efficiently converted to carboxylic acids, amides and to primary, secondary, and tertiary esters, respectively.
