N-(tert-Butyl)-S-(4-methylphenyl)thiohydroxylamine

Abstract

The title compound, (CH3)3CN(H)–SC6H4CH3-4, is the first example of a simple alkylarylsulfenamide to be structurally characterized. Crystal packing consists of ribbons formed by N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds.
