Specific heat of CsMnBr3 and holmium: n = 2, d = 3 chiral universality

Abstract

Specific heat (Cp) measurements have been made near the H = 0 phase transition in CsMnBr3 and Ho, an XY stacked triangular and a helical antiferromagnet, respectively. Cp vs. T data for CsMnBr3 yield α = 0.39±0.09, in agreement with Monte Carlo results and previous neutron scattering results combined with hyperscaling; however, data for Ho show quite a different behavior.
