Pulsatile urea excretion in the gulf toadfish: mechanisms and controls
Abstract
Opsanus beta expresses a full complement of ornithine-urea cycle (OUC) enzymes and is facultatively ureotelic, reducing ammonia-N excretion and maintaining urea-N excretion under conditions of crowding/confinement.
