Abstract
Research into the biological aspects of memory has shown its fundamental role in cognitive functioning. ere are three recognized components to memory: registration of information (encoding), storage, and retrieval. Personality development and response to life events are based largely on experiences that are memorized. Associated emotions are also processed and combined in a dynamic fashion, resulting in integration of memory and learning.
