Conditions for the existence of bound states of a Dirac particle in two and three dimensions

Abstract

For a Dirac particle of finite mass subject to a central potential in two or three space dimensions, we obtain sufficient conditions for the potential such that there is a bound state. The type of potential considered consists of a Lorentz scalar and the zeroth component of a Lorentz vector, and vanishes asymptotically.
