Deformed baryons: Constituent quark modelvs. bag model

Recently Bhaduriet al. developed a nonrelativistic constituent quark model for deformed baryons. In that model the quarks move in a deformable mean field, and the deformation parameters are determined by minimizing the quark energy subject to the constraint of volume conservation.
