The development of young infants' ability to detect stimuli in the nasal visual field
Abstract
We compared infants' ability to detect single lines of varying width in the temporal and nasal visual fields. The smallest lines detected by 1-month-olds at 20 degrees in the nasal visual field were more than eight times wider than those detected at 30 degrees in the temporal visual field.
