Noble Gas Elements

The noble gas nuclides amenable to NMR studies, 3He, 21Ne, 83Kr, 129Xe, and 131Xe, are discussed in this article. Xenon‐129 chemical shifts and J‐couplings to 129Xe in xenon compounds are correlated with their structures. Solvation and temperature effects on these parameters as well as isotopic effects observed for krypton and xenon compounds are also discussed.
