The influence of body mass index on islet isolation outcome and function
Abstract
Objective To investigate the difference between the donors body mass index(BMI) and the islet isolation yield and function of islet. Methods The 93 cases of pancreas were collected for our study. According to the obesity classification standard in Asian, the donors were divided into three groups, including the normal group (BMI: 18.50-22.99 kg/m 2 ), the overweight group (BMI: 23.00-24.99 kg/m 2 ) and the obese group (BMI≥25.00 kg/m 2 ). …
