Tribofilm formation on cemented carbides in dry sliding conformal contact

Abstract

The friction properties and the tribofilm formation of a binderless cemented carbide and two conventional cemented carbides have been evaluated in an unlubricated sliding contact in either air or nitrogen surroundings.
