Evidence for the existence of 3-bromo-L-tyrosine in serum proteins

Abstract

After complete hydrolysis of desalted blood serum labelledin vivo with82Br− some bromine activity was found in the amino acid fraction. On the basis of the elution pattern of the amino acids measured on calibrated cation-exchange columns it is concluded that 3-bromo-l-tyrosine occurs in blood serum.
