Self-binding transition in Bose condensates with laser-induced "gravitation"

Abstract

A scheme for the electromagnetic generation of Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) with 1/r gravitational interatomic potential was proposed. The necessary conditions for the transtion of external trapping to self binding were described. The kinetic energy of variational mean-field energies per particle was observed.
