An implementation of a moving finite element method
Abstract
The moving finite element method, an adaptive gridding procedure for systems of partial differential equations whose solutions contain steep gradients, has been implemented in a very straightforward way. Accurate results can be obtained using fewer nodes than that required by fixed mesh solution methods.
