Description of clay anisotropy employing the concept of directional variation of porosity
Abstract
A theoretical framework is developed for describing the effects of inherent and induced anisotropy in normally consolidated clays. The framework incorporates a continuum measure of microstructure evolution identified with the directional distribution of porosity/void ratio of the material. -Authors
