Paper #14: Three Dimensional True Spine Length: A Novel Technique for Assessing the Outcomes of Scoliosis Surgery
Abstract
This study validates the use of a novel bi-planar, 3D true spine length measurement (3DTSL) for assessing growth-friendly scoliosis surgery outcomes. Accuracy was assessed using physical models while inter-and intra-rater reliabilities (IRRs) were calculated using the bi-planar radiographs of 23 EOS patients. 3DTSL accuracy was 1.2mm(0.4%) while mean clinical IRRs were 0.948.
