Dispute Resolution: A Case Study of World Trade Organization

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to study the dispute settlement procedure in GATT and WTO and the transition from GATT to WTO in historical perspective. The paper is based on secondary data and literature review. The paper consists of four units – first unit deals with introduction to conflict, second unit discusses free trade issues (development of GATT and WTO), third unit describes dispute resolution under WTO followed by the last unit – conclusion.
