Large Kondo effect in assemblies of Au nanoparticles linked with alkanedithiol electron bridges

Abstract

Using a prototypical nanoparticle-molecule assembly, namely alkanedithiol-linked gold nanoparticle films, we observe hallmark signatures of the Kondo effect in conductance vs. voltage as well as temperature measurements.
