Model of Inclusion Evolution During Calcium Treatment in the Ladle Furnace
Abstract
Calcium treatment of steel is typically employed to modify alumina inclusions to liquid calcium aluminates. However, injected calcium also reacts with the dissolved sulfur to form calcium sulfide.
