Gastrointestinal food hypersensitivity: Basic mechanisms of pathophysiology
Abstract
Gastrointestinal symptoms occur in a large number of patients with food allergies. Immediate hypersensitivity mechanisms may give rise to the nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea experienced by these patients.
