Vaccination-Associated Relapse of Immune Thrombocytopenia
Abstract
Many patients with immune thrombocytopenia require splenectomy to achieve remission. They are therefore at risk for postsplenectomy septicemia and should receive vaccination against Streptococcus pneumoniae.
