The epsilon subunit and inhibitory monoclonal antibodies interact with the carboxyl-terminal region of the beta subunit of Escherichia coli F1-ATPase.

Abstract

The epitopes of two classes of monoclonal antibody and the binding site for the epsilon subunit have been mapped to the carboxyl-terminal region of the beta subunit of Escherichia coli F1-ATPase using partial CNBr cleavage, weak acid hydrolysis, and Western blots.
