Molecular Epidemiology of Candidemia: Evidence of Clusters of Smoldering Nosocomial Infections
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Invasive fungal infections pose a serious threat to hospitalized patients worldwide. In particular, the prevalence of clusters of nosocomial infection among patients with candidemia remains unknown.
