8.2: Sphere‐Supported Thin Film Electroluminescent Technology

Abstract Sphere‐Supported Thin Film Electroluminescent (SSTFEL) technology describes a new, flexible EL device based on thin film electroluminescence. Flexibility is realized by a novel structure comprising a polypropylene‐BaTiO 3 composite sheet. Based on an improved process, the luminance of the SSTFEL device reaches 100 cd/m 2 driven at 240 volts and 60Hz.
