Linear spinodal decomposition in a regular ternary alloy

Abstract

The solution for the three linearly independent partial structure functions in a ternary alloy are presented for the Cahn-Hilliard linear theory as well as the Cook approximation. The partial structure functions are computed for a ternary regular solution employing a variety of choices for the gradient energy coefficients, atomic mobilities and average composition.
