A synchrotron radiation study of phase separation in AlZn alloys—II. Scaling

Abstract

The time dependent structure function for three concentrations of AlZn binaries was measured using small angle X-ray scattering. The quench positions for each sample correspond to volume fractions of Zn rich phase equal to 0.09, 0.12 and 0.44. The structure function at late aging times was found to obey the Binder-Stauffer-Furukawa scaling transformation in all cases.
