Defect structure of pseudo phases of wüstite

There have been several reports in the literature of the existence of pseudo phases of wüstite, whereas other workers have disputed their existence. In this work the kinetics of the oxygen exchange reaction between carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide were measured on wüstite surfaces and discontinuities in the rate constants were observed at the proposed boundaries between the pseudo phases.
