Dr. Afroza Sultana earned her PhD in Medical Anthropology from McMaster University, where she collaborated with Haudenosaunee women at Six Nations of the Grand River, the second largest First Nation reserve in Canada. Her research focused on assessing the interrelationship between water security and holistic maternal health.
Dr. Sultana also works with South Asian diaspora communities on a SSHRC Insight Development Grant to fight dementia stigma and promote a dementia-friendly society.
