Wayne Lewchuk

Professor Emeritus, Labour Studies

Dr. Wayne Lewchuk is a Professor in the School of Labour Studies and the Department of Economics at McMaster University. He has previously served as a LiUNA Enrico Henry Mancinelli Professor in Global Labour Issues. Dr. Lewchuk received his M.A. in Economic History from the University of Toronto, and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cambridge. His recent work on the Poverty and Employment Precarity in Southern Ontario (PEPSO) project addressed research gaps on trends in precarious employment. PEPSO has impacted policy decisions, expanded existing knowledge, and serves as a foundation for future research.
