Claire Tuckey
Assistant Professor, Kinesiology

In my teaching, I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for students. I teach a variety of courses, including KINESIOL 1K03: Foundations in Kinesiology, KINESIOL 2F03: Growth, Maturation, and Physical Activity in Children and Youth, KINESIOL 3Q03: Motor Development Across the Lifespan, KINESIOL 3RP3: Research Practicum in Kinesiology, KINESIOL 4EE3: Professional Placement in Kinesiology, and KINESIOL 4UU3: Human Factors; each of which include a 'flair of Claire'. My teaching philosophy centers on making learning fun and engaging by incorporating interactive class activities and opportunities for reflection in experiential courses. I believe in making classroom learning applicable to life outside of school, ensuring that students can see the relevance of their studies in 'real-world' contexts. My goal is to inspire students to pursue their interests in kinesiology and to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for their future careers. I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive academic community where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.
