Christina Carter is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping her patients and their families reach what they determine is their optimal physical and emotional health. Christina started her career as a Registered Nurse on a pediatric medical/surgical unit at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at McMaster University’s School of Nursing. After 16 years, a return to school resulted in her achieving a Masters in Nursing with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certificate from the Lawrence S. Bloomberg School of Nursing at the University of Toronto. She transitioned to the Pediatric Neurology Department at McMaster Children’s Hospital in 2014 as its first Nurse Practitioner. She holds part time Assistant Clinical Professor positions at both The McMaster School of Nursing and The University of Toronto’s Lawrence S. Bloomberg School of Nursing and is very active in the education of new nurses and nurse practitioners. She has previously presented both oral and poster presentations at multiple international conferences on topics concerning the care of children with epilepsy. Christina is a lover of nature and on the weekend you will find her on a local hiking path with family and friends.
