Skeletal muscle metabolic dysfunction in obesity and metabolic syndrome.
Abstract
Obesity and the related metabolic syndrome have become a worldwide epidemic. Inactivity appears to be a primary causative factor in the pathogenesis of this obesity and metabolic syndrome.
