Exploring the research field of musculoskeletal trauma with Dr. Mohit Bhandari

Dr. Bhandari currently serves as Professor and Academic Head of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at McMaster University. He also holds a Canada Research Chair in Surgical Outcomes. He received his Masters Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from McMaster University and his PhD Degree from Goteborg University (Sweden). Dr. Bhandari is recognized the ‘global leader’ of evidence-based surgery and orthopaedic research receiving the fields highest awards including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Medal, the Edouard Samson Award, and the Kappa Delta Award. He has been acknowledged among the top 10 most cited orthopaedic fracture surgeons in the world (rank 7). To this end, Dr. Bhandari has published and presented hundreds of papers and has lead edited several of his fieldߣs major textbooks. His research focuses upon improving the lives of individuals experiencing trauma.
