Getting and Feeling Safer, Part 1

Abstract

Abstract This module focuses on recognizing and interrupting patterns that increase the risk of doing things that are risky, unhealthy, or unsafe. It also offers things you can do to help yourself get and feel safer. As part of this work, you will learn why getting your healthy needs met safely is so important for your healing, and we will help you recognize what your healthy needs are and how to work toward meeting them. You will also learn how to recognize and manage challenging situations and how to notice and respond to early warning signs in order to break the cycle of unhealthy behavior and reduce trauma-related reactions.
