Abstract
Electrical injuries/burns comprise of a small portion of all burn unit admissions approximately <5%; however, they have devastating consequences and are a common cause of amputations (Lee, Curr Probl Surg 34:738–74, 1997; Esselman et al., Am J Phys Med Rehabil 85:383–418, 2006; Purdue et al., Total burn care: text and atlas, 3rd edn, Elsevier, Philadelphia, 2007; Arnoldo et al., J Burn Care Rehabil 25:479–484, 2004; Arnoldo and Purdue, Hand Clin 25:469–479, 2009).
