Dr. Peter Rosenbaum is a Developmental Paediatrician, Professor of Paediatrics and clinical and health services researcher in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. Dr. Rosenbaum has also held a Canada Research Chair in Childhood Disability, Mentoring, and Dissemination since January 2001. Over the course of his career, Dr. Rosenbaum has gained extensive clinical experience working with children with a wide range of developmental disabilities, as well as experience working with the families of these children. He is also the co-founder, with Dr. Mary Law, of the CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research, an initiative that he took on because of his passion for clinical and health services research. Dr. Rosenbaum's research focuses on a wide range of issues concerning childhood disability, for example how to describe and measure it, what services work, how to support families, and how to inform practitioners and policy people. This interview explores progress in developmental paediatrics, the CanChild Centre of Childhood Disability and Research, and the impact of these contributions to the lives of children.
