Quadrupole interaction of 181Ta in HfO2

Abstract

Studies are presented of the static quadrupole interaction of the 482 keV level of 181 Ta in a polycrystalline HfO 2 source, made using a differential perturbed angular correlation (PAC) method. The experimental procedure and method of analysis are described and the results obtained for the following interaction parameters are: the transition frequencies ω 0 = 819 ± 10, ω 1 ± 1483 ± 25, ω 2 = 2350 ± 50 Mrad/s, the quadrupole interaction …
