abstract
As the number of immigrants increase globally, nations grapple with how to accommodate new arrivals and integrate them into their society. Issues including access to employment, housing, cultural and social integration are important considerations. This edited collection will explore immigrant settlement, adjustment and integration from a variety of perspectives. Throughout the book, we will ask contributors to highlight cross country (region) integration policies. We envision contributions that are retrospective only to the extent necessary to lay the groundwork for visions of future research in the area, such that the book is intended to be much more forward looking than retrospective. The book would be of interest to policy analysts in government, international organizations, development organizations, scholars in academia, think tanks, and students. The book would also be suitable for use in senior undergraduate programs or at the graduate level.
