Abstract

Numerous endocrine abnormalities have been reported in depression, anorexia nervosa, and bulimia. Similarities in the abnormalities that have been reported may suggest that underlying mechanisms are interrelated. Moreover, anorexia nervosa and bulimia share a number of clinical features and family history.
