Immunohistological localization of testosterone in the growing antler of the white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus)
Abstract
Using immunohistological methods (fluorescein and peroxidase labeled double antibody technique), the localization of testosterone in the antlers of white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) at the beginning of the period of accelerated calcification was examined.
